You Matter...Find Joy!

Wow, for those days when I'm feeling worthless or maybe getting down about comparing my weaknesses to another's strengths, this is a talk I will want to remember to look up!

"This is a paradox of man: compared to God, man is nothing; yet we are everything to God. While against the backdrop of infinite creation we may appear to be nothing, we have a spark of eternal fire burning within our breast. We have the incomprehensible promise of exaltation—worlds without end—within our grasp. And it is God’s great desire to help us reach it."

"And while we may look at the vast expanse of the universe and say, 'What is man in comparison to the glory of creation?' God Himself said we are the reason He created the universe!"

I love this! (Sorry, I say that a lot) It reminds me that even though times sometimes seem hard, there is so much too look forward to! So much to hope for! We have a loving Father in Heaven and a loving Savior that want desperately to welcome us back into their arms.

Even though we must beware of pride, Heavenly Father wants us to know that WE ARE IMPORTANT, that we have SIGNIFICANCE, that we have strengths and characteristics that God can put to use.
 We are VALUABLE to God!!

There is SO MUCH that we can be and yet we often times make choices that keep us from obtaining those blessings. But there is always a way back! We may not be able to un-do our choices, but if we sincerely repent, God has promised that He will forget.

"God sees you not only as a mortal being on a small planet who lives for a brief season—He sees you as His child. He sees you as the being you are capable and designed to become. He wants you to know that you matter to Him."

"You pile up enough tomorrows, and you'll find you've collected a lot of empty yesterdays" ~The Music Man

"Stresses in our lives come regardless of our circumstances. We must deal with them the best we can. But we should not let them get in the way of what is most important- and what is most important almost always involves the people around us. Often we assume that they must know how much we love them. But we should never assume; we should let them know."

Send that note to the friend you've been neglecting.

Give your child a hug; give your parents a hug.

Say "I love you" more.

Always express your thanks.
